RT Golf

If you follow the box office these days, you know the effect a Rotten Tomatoes score can have on a movie. Good reviews often yield a healthy box office and bad reviews can tank a film. Accordingly, predicting a movie’s Rotten Tomatoes score is, in a way, part of predicting a film’s success — but that’s easier said than done. I mean, a month ago, who would have thought the John Cena-led Blockers would boast a highly respectable 83% score? But predicting Rotten Tomatoes scores is exactly what RT Golf is all about — in fact, predicting the most rotten Rotten Tomatoes scores is what it’s all about.

Each month this summer, we’ll provide a form with each of that month’s expected wide releases and you simply pick which four movies from that list will get the lowest RT scores. Like golf, you’re trying to get the lowest score possible. The form also contains a few extra questions for tie-breaking purposes, so be sure to fill those out too. We’ll keep score and declare a winner at the end of each month as well as an overall summer champion — all you have to do is pick a few movies each month. So fire up those flop-finders and dud-detectors and join us for a few rounds of RT Golf!
